FAQ

Here are answers to the most common questions people ask about this project, the case study, and the evidence behind it.

Is this a hit piece?

No. This project is a documented case study based on my firsthand experience with Lane Houk’s Signal Genesys service. I paid $10,500, followed the process as instructed, tracked the results, and published what happened. Every claim on this site is supported by invoices, Zoom call recordings, screenshots, and ranking data. The goal is to help other agency owners and business operators make informed decisions about SEO services — not to attack anyone personally.

Are you calling Lane Houk a fraud?

No. I’m sharing factual information and my own opinions based on documented evidence. I report what was promised during recorded calls, what was delivered, and what the data showed. Readers can draw their own conclusions. If Lane Houk or his team believe any factual claim on this site is inaccurate, I welcome them to contact me with documentation and I’ll make corrections.

What evidence do you have?

The Exhibits and Evidence Repository contains invoices proving payment, examples of Signal Genesys submissions, before-and-after ranking data for target keywords, lists of press release links generated by the system, and selected excerpts from recorded Zoom onboarding calls. All personal data and sensitive information is redacted before publication.

Can I replicate your testing?

Yes. Anyone can follow the same steps I did: purchase the Signal Genesys package, implement the process exactly as instructed, and measure the results over time. I encourage transparency and welcome additional data points. If your experience differs from mine, I’d genuinely like to hear about it — more data helps everyone make better decisions.

Why did you spend $10,500 on this?

I run BlitzMetrics, a digital marketing agency. A colleague mentioned Signal Genesys and the claims sounded interesting enough to test with real money. I’ve been in digital marketing for over a decade, and I wanted clean data — either the system worked and I’d have a new tool, or it didn’t and the data would help others avoid the same mistake. It turned out to be the latter, so I built this site to share what I learned.

Have you tried contacting Lane Houk directly?

Yes. After the system failed to deliver the promised results, I requested a refund. That request was denied. The full details of that conversation and the supporting evidence are documented in my post on the refund request and failed support. I wasn’t looking for a public dispute — I was looking for accountability.

Is this site making money?

No. There are no ads, no affiliate links, and no products for sale on this site. This project exists purely as a case study and educational resource. The only thing I’m “selling” is the idea that people should do their homework before spending thousands of dollars on SEO services.

What should I do instead of shortcut SEO?

I’ve written a detailed guide on the right way to do SEO that covers real brand signals, E-E-A-T, local SEO, content strategy, and honest link building. I’ve also put together a guide on how to spot SEO scams so you can evaluate services before you pay. The short version: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

How can I contact you?

You can reach me through the contact form on BlitzMetrics or connect with me on LinkedIn. If you have a factual correction for anything on this site, or if you’ve had your own experience with Signal Genesys that you’d like to share, I’d like to hear from you.
